WisdomTree Japan Hedged Equity Fund provides Japanese equity exposure while hedging out yen currency risk, allowing US investors to capture Japanese stock returns without currency drag.

What is DXJ?

WisdomTree Japan Hedged Equity Fund (DXJ) provides exposure to Japanese equities while hedging out the yen/USD currency risk. This means returns more closely track the local Japanese stock market performance rather than being diluted by currency movements.

Currency-Hedged vs Unhedged

When the yen weakens against the dollar (which it has significantly in recent years), unhedged Japan ETFs like EWJ underperform local market returns. DXJ eliminates this drag, making it particularly attractive during periods of yen depreciation.
