Worth remembering that these markets are not independent of one another. A stronger dollar tends to push dollar-priced commodities down for non-dollar buyers, and moves in real interest rates pull metals and long bonds in opposite directions from equities.
So a week where metals and indices move the same way usually reflects a change in rate expectations rather than anything specific to either market.
